RADIODIAGNOSTICS OF ABNORMALITIES IN THE RIBS IN CHILDHOOD
##common.pageHeaderLogo.altText## Journal of Theoretical, Clinical and Experimental Morphology

Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to provide information about hereditary anomalies and acquired diseases of the ribs in children and their main radiological aspects. There are many local and systemic signs of disease in the ribs. Rib abnormalities found in the NKR are an important indicator of known or suspected bone dysplasia, heart disease, metabolic diseases, trauma, and neoplasms. The diagnostic information obtained from the evaluation of the ribs may help to adapt the appropriate radiological and laboratory studies that may be needed to complete the patient's diagnostic work.
