THE IMPORTANCE OF MORPHOLOGICAL STUDIES IN THE STUDY OF INFEC- TIOUS DISEASES
##common.pageHeaderLogo.altText## Journal of Theoretical, Clinical and Experimental Morphology

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to study the importance of morphological studies in the study of infectious diseases.
Infectious diseases are currently considered one of the most important public health problems worldwide. Infections
continue to play a major role in human pathology, given the wide discussion of the relationship of many non-
infectious diseases, including the most common diseases, to biological pathogens. Currently, one of the most
promising problems of human physiology and pathology is the state of its microbiome. anatomic-pathological
examinations play an important role in the diagnosis or exclusion of infectious diseases. Morphological study of
biopsies and cytological preparations allows to definitively identify or exclude various diseases. After the
pathologist has determined whether the disease is infectious and characterized the inflammatory response,
associated microorganisms or virus-related cytopathic effects should be recorded. Of course, it indicates the need to
develop a new direction in medicine, which can be conventionally defined as "tissue microbiology", located at the
junction of microbiology, molecular biology and pathomorphology. It is clear that despite the unconditional
achievements of modern research conducted at the cellular level, they cannot answer all the pressing questions
posed by medical practice. Among the promising approaches for solving the discussed problems, morphological
approaches are also important.
