HISTOLOGICAL AND ELECTRON MICROSCOPIC STUDY OF THE INTERNAL STRUCTURE OF THE LIVER IN NORM AND IN EXPERIMENT (ON THE MODEL OF MECHANICAL BLOCKADE OF THE COMMON HEPATIC DUCT)
Abstract
The aim of the study was to investigate the morphological features of microscopic and ultramicroscopic structures of the liver in norm and on the model of mechanical blockade of the common hepatic duct. The research material was 30 non-breeding adult rabbits (15 rabbits in the mechanical blockade model, 15 rabbits in the control group). The model of bile duct blockade was created by ligating the extrahepatic common hepatic duct. After 2-3 hours, the animals were euthanized. The rabbits were dissected according to the method used with the rabbits of the control group. Pieces were cut out and taken from different parts of the liver of the rabbits of the experimental and control groups. Transverse sections 5-7 µm thick were made from these pieces. The prepared sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin, methylene blue and the Van Gieson method [7]. The preparations were studied and photographed using a Topica TP1002DS video imaging system installed on a MicroOptix light-optical microscope (Germany). Electron-macroscopic studies were performed on a FEI Tecnai G 2 Spirit BioTWIN electron microscope under 80 kV.
