Defection of apoptosis factors in diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome in cardiac pathology
Abstract
In modern times, the number of people suffering from diabetes and metabolic syndrome is increasing steadily in economically developed countries. Thus, according to the information provided by ARIC (Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study), the spread of this pathology among men and women is 23-24%, respectively. In the group between the ages of 25-45, the percentage is 35-53.5%. Clinico-chemical studies have shown that during metabolic syndrome, the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, including myocardial infarction, stroke, and chronic heart failure, is very high.
