The purpose of research is the identification of prognostic criteria in the diagnosis of diseases of the pancreas in the first year of life by ultrasound.
Material and methods. We conducted an ultrasound study of the pancreas 480 children in the first year of life. The thickness of the pancreas was measured in three parts: the head, body, tail.
Results. It was found that the thickness of the pancreas at the population level is significantly different in children assigned to different health groups, and also depends on the risk factors for the development of perinatal pathology (p <0.05). The results of regression modeling showed that with an increase in the child's health group and the risk of developing perinatal pathology, there is a decrease in the thickness of the pancreas in all parts.
Conclusion. The study showed that the thickness of the pancreas in the three parts of the examined children corresponds to the age and species norms. The thickness of the pancreas is statistically significantly different in children of different health groups and depends on the risk of developing perinatal pathology. With an increase in the group of health and risk, a decrease in the gland thickness is observed. Our data confirm our earlier studies on autopsy material that pancreatic morphogenesis depends on risk factors for the development of perinatal pathology, and as the risk increases, the organ decreases, which leads to its hypoplasia. Thus, prognostic criteria in the diagnosis of pancreatic diseases in children in the first year of life can be considered the risk of developing perinatal pathology and a child's health group.
