ETIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF TRAUMA THORAX IN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to comparatively study the etiology of trauma thorax in individuals of different age groups of the population. Injury is the third leading cause of death in all age groups, after cardiovascular disease and cancer. Although injuries can occur in many parts of the body, one in four trauma patients die due to chest trauma or complications. As with all trauma patients, vital signs are one of the best indicators of blunt chest injury. Data such as tachycardia and hypotension are very valuable. The presence of Beck's triad (distended neck veins, hypotension, muffled heart sounds) may indicate cardiac tamponade. Early diagnosis and treatment are important to prevent mortality and complications in patients with blunt chest trauma. For this reason, history taking and physical examination are an integral part of the approach to these patients. Advanced examination and imaging techniques are
very valuable and more sensitive for diagnosing trauma.
